WOW is what describes this colt…! He grabs your attention…and keeps drawing your eye back to him with his look at me presence. This colt will be an outstanding eventer or show jumper with his bloodlines…it will be able to jump the moon…and also have enough wow to his movement to impress the dressage judges. He is going to be a big colt….far bigger than the 15.3hh of his sire…! I would guess that he will mature approx. 16.2-16.3hh.
Bernie is sired by Solaris Buenno and he has the WOW Factor through and through.
Buenno’s sire, the coloured Dutch Warmblood Stallion Umenno has an accomplished performance record to date and his dam, Edwina, a Supreme Champion high scoring 1st premium mare who’s progeny have consistently been successful in the county show ring.

Buenno, has inherited the qualities of both sire and dam, elasticity of gaits, a free shoulder and quick active engaging hind leg. His bloodlines are a combination of both jumping and dressage genes from the worlds leading stud books.

Buenno’s great grand sire, Nimmerdor is the KWPN Stallion of the Century. Son of the Preferent stallion Farn, the Preferent Nimmerdor was the most famous of all the old-fashioned Holstein offspring. Nimmerdor has had a tremendous, far-reaching influence upon the world of equestrian breeding and has sired over 50 Approved sons as well as a multitude of international show jumpers and exceptional brood mares.

Bernie’s dam is a beautiful looking mare who is the image of her sire Kinnordy Graziano with her big white blaze and 2 hind white socks. Gracie is blessed with both jumping lines through on her sire side with Graf Landau (Genever/Gottard) and dressage lines on her dam line through Nebelhorn (Nebelwerfer II). Gracie’s grandsire is the outstanding imported Hanoverian Graf Landau (Imp/Dec) (Genever x Wendekreis x Götz). Graf Landau’s pedigree is bursting with important sires such as Genever, Gotthard, Wendekreis, Ferdinand, Domspatz and Goetz, all of them responsible for at least one or more world champions.

Graf Landau has produced numerous horses with big movement and great jumping ability. A number of classy dressage horses, premium broodmares and more recently several talented showjumpers and eventers – Kinnordy Goerlitz, Grand Prix showjumper, KS Genoa representing Australia at the WEG, Aachen 06 and finalist at the Olympic Games, Hong Kong 08) and Watermark Grayson, 3* eventer, proving the invaluable genes of the Gotthard line, now so much sought after in Europe.

Gracie’s dams sire is the beautiful chestnut stallion Nebelhorn (Imp). Nebelhorn finished first out of 33 stallions in his 1981 performance test with scores of 8+ on his gaits and 8.67 on cross country and stadium jumping. He was selected for the State Stud at Celle and stood in Germany from 1982 to 1984. He is still ranked in the top 10% for Hanoverian dressage sires in his age group. He won USDF (Hanoverian) Gold Medals at Third through Intermediaire I from 1985 to 1988. Nebelhorn also won a USDF Bronze Medal at Grand Prix in 1989 and an Individual Silver Medal at the Olympics Sports Festival in 1986. A versatile sport horse himself, as well as a versatile producer, Nebelhorn won three hunter show championships at the Santa Barbara National in 1991.
With this pedigree, Bernie cannot help but be a performance horse of the future…your only decision is to choose a discipline for him.
